Marquis series guitars feature Adirondack red spruce tops with Golden Era-style scalloped 1/4″ Adirondack spruce bracing, pre-war style 28 appointments, aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish, comfortable modified V neck carve, 1-3/4″ nut, 25.4″ scale, and a string spread at the bridge of 2-1/4″. As it’s a 2011 model, this OM-28 is equipped with fossil ivory nut, saddle, bridgepins and endpin – Martin no longer offers this model or fossil ivory on their guitars.

The guitar does everything a modern, high-end OM-28 needs to do, and with soul. It’s a robust guitar with depth, an open and warm mid-range, and very full, round trebles. A capable flatpicker, and a very fine fingerstyle OM.
